PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Dale Davis led all five starters in double figures as the Portland Trail Blazers recorded their first three-game winning streak of the season with a 101-95 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Davis was 12-of-16 from the field for 25 points and added 16 rebounds as the Trail Blazers won their third straight for the first time since March 20-26. Portland improved to 3-0 on a six-game homestand and won its fifth straight against Milwaukee. Rasheed Wallace also registered a double-double for the Trail Blazers, with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Damon Stoudamire added 18 points and six assists. "At the start of the game with (Mark) Pope on Dale, we made it a point to get him the ball," Portland coach Maurice Cheeks said. "Our rebounding was terrific. It started with Dale Davis, who got 11 offensive boards, but everybody rebounded tonight. Dale led us and it rubbed off on Rasheed." "We wanted to see who (Pope) was on," Davis said. "I was able to get a couple of early baskets on him and never really looked back. I try not to take bad shots. I shoot the ball when I'm open and tonight I just got more opportunities and drained them." The Trail Blazers outrebounded the Bucks, 46-32, building a 21-11 advantage on the offensive end. Davis tied a team record with 11 offensive boards. Ray Allen led Milwaukee with 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell, the other two members of the Bucks' "Big Three," each contributed 23 points. "We haven't scored too many points lately," Allen said. "When we don't play good offensively, it demoralizes what we do on defense. We're an offensive team." The Bucks entered the fourth quarter with an 83-73 deficit, but they couldn't get closer than six points. "We're not doing the little things," Cassell said. "Teams are beating us by hustling. They played harder than us tonight. It's not something that's hard to fix, but we've got to fix it quickly." The loss was Milwaukee's third in a row -- its first such streak this season and longest since a four-game skid from November 18-25, 2000. The Bucks are 0-3 on a four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents. After one quarter, the Blazers trailed, 33-30. They had not allowed that many points in a quarter this season. Milwaukee jumped to a 41-32 lead in the second quarter, but Portland responded with a 30-6 run to close the half. The 62 points were the most the Blazers had scored in any half this season. "That whole first half was the best we've played all year," Cheeks said. "Things are beginning to come. Our rhythm is going pretty good. We find ourselves into a pretty good rhythm, sharing the ball and our guards are rebounding." "They made a run and that's NBA basketball," Bucks coach George Karl said. "We fought hard in the second half but we dug the hole too big. Yeah, we're good. We're playing good basketball for 25-30 minutes. Usually to win in the NBA you have to put together 40-42 minutes. You can have a couple of spells of two to three minutes where you don't play well enough, but we're putting big holes in there."
