ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) -- Murphy Holloway scored 20 points to lead Mississippi to an 80-69 victory over TCU on Monday night in the third-place game of the Paradise Jam.
Ole Miss (4-1) also got 14 points from Jarvis Summers and 11 points apiece from Terrance Henry and Dundrecous Nelson.
J.R. Cadot led the Horned Frogs (3-2) with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Ole Miss, which was coming off a 30-point loss to Marquette on Sunday night, shot a season-high 60 percent (30 of 50) from the field in bouncing back against the Horned Frogs.
"We wanted to make sure that we were attacking the basket," said Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy. "Most of our shots were from close.
"We're still leaving points on the table at the free-throw line and we have to get better in that regard, but today was a step in the right direction."
The Rebels led 35-33 at halftime before pulling away late in the second half.
"We stopped turning the ball away and did a better job on our defensive glass," Kennedy said. "They were killing us with offensive rebounds. That's how they were staying in the game.
"We were giving them second-chance points and we did a better job of that in the second half."
TCU's Amric Fields hit a 3-pointer to pull the Horned Frogs within 65-59 with 3:20 left, but Holloway answered with a dunk and Nick Williams hit a 3-pointer to give the Rebels all the breathing room they needed.
TCU shot only 42 percent (25 of 59) and committed 19 turnovers.
Ole Miss, which went 2-1 in the tournament thanks to a win over Drake, returns to the court on Friday to host Miami.
TCU, which finished 1-2 after beating Virginia and losing to Norfolk State, took fifth place. The Horned Frogs play at Houston on Saturday.
