EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- Jim Mower hit a school-record 10 3-pointers en route to a career-high 37 points as Lafayette rallied to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson 85-74 Tuesday night.
Mower, a senior guard, came into the game needing 19 points to surpass1,000 career points. He shot 12 of 16 from the field and 10 of 13 from beyond the arc to break the previous mark of nine 3-pointers.
Mower scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, during a 30-6 run in which the Leopards (3-2) surged from an eight-point deficit with 16:13 to play to a 16-point lead with 7:14 left.
The Knights (1-3) could get no closer than nine the rest of the way.
Ryan Willen added17 points for Lafayette, which made 16 of 26 field goals in the second half (61.5 percent).
Melquan Bolding had a career-high 33 points for Fairleigh Dickinson on 12-of-24 shooting, hitting 5 of 8 from long range.
