NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) -- James Hulbin scored 20 points off the bench and Northwestern State defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 80-65 on Tuesday night.
The Demons (4-3) led 16-15 with 11:46 to play before outscoring the Trojans 16-5 over the next 7:42. Hulbin scored eight points and made two of his five 3-pointers during the spurt.
Hulbin was 6 of 8 from the field and added two blocks as Northwestern State snapped a three-game losing skid.
Louis Ellis added 11 points and Demetrice Jacobs had 10 for the Demons.
Northwestern State pushed its lead to as many as 26 points, 76-50, on Hulbin's 3 with 5:15 to play.
Both teams turned it over 16 times, but the Demons scored 22 points off of the Trojans' giveaways, while UALR had just 15.
Eric Lawton led the Trojans (2-5) with 12 points. Marlon Louzeiro and Will Neighbour chipped in 10 each for UALR, which was outrebounded 39-31.
