POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- Kenny McGowen scored 18 points and Melvin Morgan added 17 as Idaho State avenged an earlier loss to North Dakota with a 76-63 victory Saturday night.
Garrett Swanson added 15 points for the Bengals (2-5), who lost to North Dakota 63-47 on Nov. 14 in Grand Fork, N.D. Swanson had six of his points during an 8-2 run midway through the first half as Idaho State took control of the game.
Abner Moreira had 14 rebounds to lead the Bengals to a 42-28 advantage on the boards.
Aaron Anderson scored 20 points, Patrick Mitchell 15 and Troy Huff 14 for North Dakota (4-3), a future member of the Big Sky Conference.
The Fighting Sioux stayed close until the final five minutes of play despite going scoreless during a six-minute stretch of the second half.
Idaho State shot 51 percent from the field while North Dakota shot 40 percent.
