MURRAY, Ky. (AP) -- Isaiah Canaan scored 21 points and Murray State shot 63 percent from the field in the second half to remain undefeated with a 75-68 nonconference victory over Dayton on Sunday.
Canaan got 14 of his points, including four 3-pointers, in the second half, when the Racers (9-0) made 17 of 27 shots and pulled away from a 29-23 halftime lead.
Latreze Mushatt contributed 14 points off the bench for Murray State, 12 of them in the second half, and Ivan Aska scored 13 points.
Josh Benson scored 17 points, making all eight of his shots, to lead the Flyers (5-3).
Dayton led 17-14 with 10:13 remaining in the first half, but the Racers responded with a 9-0 run, including a pair of jumpers by Stacy Wilson, to go ahead to stay.
Murray State's 9-0 start is its best since the 1998-99 season.
