KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Reggie Chamberlain scored 20 points and UMKC overcame an early 12-point deficit to defeat North Dakota 78-75 Wednesday night.
Trinity Hall had 18 points, Nate Rogers scored 14 and Michael Gholston had 12 points for the Kangaroos (5-5).
Brandon Brekke led the Fighting Sioux (4-4) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. North Dakota built a 20-8 lead but UMKC trimmed the Sioux's lead to 38-34 by halftime. Hall's 3-pointer gave the Kangaroos the lead at 40-38, their first lead since the first two minutes of the game.
UMKC led 70-59 before North Dakota scored the next 11 points to tie the game. Kirk Korver's basket with 1:06 left put UMKC ahead for good and Rogers and Chamberlain made free throws down the stretch.
Troy Huff had 15 points and nine rebounds for North Dakota.
