BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Louis Krogman and Charlie Westbrook scored 18 points apiece to help South Dakota pull away from Canisius 67-55 on Thursday night, snapping a two-game losing streak.
Krogman shot 50 percent (6 of 12) from the field and hit five 3-pointers for the Coyotes (3-5).
Canisius (1-6) trimmed the lead to six, 48-42, with 8:20 left to play after trailing by more than 14 at the 12-minute mark. But Krogman dished assists to Charlie Westbrook and Trevor Gruis on South Dakota's next two possessions, sparking an 11-2 run for the Coyotes.
Westbrook's layup and subsequent free throw pushed South Dakota's lead back to 15, 59-44, with four minutes left to play.
Alshawn Hymes led Canisius with 18 points.
South Dakota had an impressive night shooting the ball, hitting 52.1 percent from the field (25 of 48) and 55.6 percent from deep (10 of 18).
