RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Mike Glover scored 24 points and hot-shooting Iona cruised past Richmond 88-79 on Wednesday night.

Glover made 11 of 13 field goal attempts as the Gaels (8-2) shot 58.7 percent (37 of 63), their second-best shooting effort this season. Iona entered the game second in the nation in scoring average (87.4).

Sean Armand added 17 points, and Lamont Jones and Ra'Shad James had 14 each for the Gaels. Iona's Scott Machado finished with 13 points and 15 assists.

Iona trailed 42-41 early in the second half, then used a 10-0 burst to take a 51-42 lead with 14:11 to play. A 9-0 run a few minutes later gave the Gaels their biggest lead at 74-56 with 6:12 to play.

Cedric Lindsay scored 21 points, Kendall Anthony added 18 and Darrius Garrett posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Richmond (6-4), which has lost two straight.
