FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- David Hanson and Amaurys Fermin scored 12 points apiece to lead Cal Poly to a 65-46 victory over Fresno State on Saturday night.
Drake U'u added 11 points for the Mustangs (8-3), who held Fresno State to 35 percent shooting. Cal Poly also made 9 of 21 3-point attempts, including 3 of 4 by Fermin.
Jonathan Wills had 14 points and Jerry Brown 10 for the Bulldogs (4-7).
Cal Poly led 30-21 at halftime after Fermin hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, then held Fresno State to just six points in the first 9:32 of the second half to increase that lead to 20.
The Bulldogs used a full-court press to cut the deficit to 48-40 but couldn't get any closer. Dylan Royer's 3-pointer and a layup by U'u put the Mustangs back in front 58-40 with 3:06 remaining.
