RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Trevor Gaskins hit the game-winning jumper with 9 seconds left to give Louisiana Tech a 71-68 win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday night.
Raheem Appleby scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Bulldogs (6-5), who trailed by as many as 15 en route to a 34-25 halftime deficit.
The Trojans (3-9), who have lost three straight, still held a 56-43 lead with 10:57 left
Appleby scored seven straight points to spark a 20-6 run, capped by his 3-pointer for a 63-62 Louisiana Tech lead with 2:36 remaining.
Little Rock regained the advantage on a jumper by D'Andre Williams, who finished with 13 points, then Appleby hit another 3. The Trojans' Chuck Guy tied it twice, hitting his fourth free throw with 13 seconds left.
After Gaskins scored, Will Neighbour missed a potential game-winning 3 with 2 seconds to play. Kenneth Smith's last-second free throw gave him 18 points.
