SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- Kevin Foster scored 26 points, and Evan Roquemore scored 14 and dished out 11 assists as Santa Clara beat Pacific in overtime 78-76 Saturday.
Santa Clara (7-3) trailed 67-63 with a minute remaining before scoring six of the next seven points in the game, including a 3-point shot by Foster that tied the game at 69-69. Following a Pacific turnover, Roquemore missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer for Santa Clara as time expired.
After the teams traded baskets, Santa Clara seized a 5-point lead with less than a minute remaining. Pacific's comeback fell short when Ray Cowels III sank two free throws to make it a two-possession game with 16 seconds left.
Pacific (4-5) was led in scoring by Lorenzo McCloud with 22 points, including 11 for 12 from the free throw line.
Foster is now No. 4 on the all-time WCC three-pointers list with 282.
