POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) -- Anell Alexis had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Marist over St. Peter's 71-67 on Monday night.
With the game tied 58-58 with 2:51 to play, R.J. Hall hit two free throws to give Marist the lead for good. The Red Foxes made all 11 of their free throw attempts during that span to seal the win.
Chavaughn Lewis also scored 14 points and Adam Kemp added 13 for the Red Foxes (7-7, 2-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who ended a five-game losing streak to St. Peter's.
Marist came in shooting 40.9 percent from 3-point range but made only 17.6 percent (3 of 17) against the Peacocks.
The Red Foxes outrebounded St. Peter's 42-34 and outscored the Peacocks 24-6 on second chance points.
Blaise Ffrench scored 16 points, Lamin Fulton added 15 points and Chris Prescott had 11 for the Peacocks (2-12, 1-2), who have lost eight straight.
