DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Jake Cohen scored 20 and Davidson overwhelmed The Citadel 80-51 Saturday night to win its seventh straight game and stay undefeated in Southern Conference play.
The Wildcats (14-4, 8-0) opened up a 28-2 lead at the 8:29 mark and led 47-16 at halftime. Davidson shot 52.8 percent (19 of 36) compared to 16.7 percent (4 of 24) for the Bulldogs.
The Citadel (4-14, 1-6) could get no closer than 24 in the second half on the way to its third straight loss.
De'Mon Brooks added 15 and J.P. Kuhlman 11 for the Wildcats, who have won 16 of their last 17 conference regular-season games, including 11 straight, dating back to last season.
Davidson had a 46-22 rebounding advantage.
Mike Groselle, with 22 points, was the only Bulldogs player scoring more than five points. He was 7 of 10 from the field and 8 of 11 from the free-throw line.
