FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Nate Wolters scored 27 points, including five of his team's 15 in overtime, and South Dakota State held off interstate rival North Dakota State 91-88 on Saturday night.
Jordan Dykstra added 20 points and Griffan Callahan had 19 for the Jackrabbits (16-5, 8-1 Summit), who got their first win in Fargo since the 2004-05 season.
Taylor Braun led the Bison (13-6, 6-4) with 28 points, including a game-tying layup with 8 seconds left in regulation. It was Braun's third basket in the final 52 seconds. Wolters missed a 3-pointer as time expired, forcing overtime.
Before Braun's basket, SDSU had led the entire second half.
In overtime, North Dakota State scored the first four points before the Jackrabbits took control. Wolters hit a 3-pointer and Callahan went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line before Chad White, Dykstra and Wolters each hit two foul shots to secure the win.
