GARLAND, Texas (AP) -- Ken McDonald scored 26 points, making 11 of 12 shots, and Alcorn State rolled to a 103-79 victory over Prairie View A&M in the SWAC tournament quarterfinals on Thursday.
McDonald scored 15 points in the first half, nearly matching Prairie View's team total, as the sixth-seeded Braves (10-21) raced to a 50-17 halftime lead. Alcorn State will play No. 2 seed Texas Southern in Friday's semifinals.
KeDorian Sullivan and Anthony Nieves scored 16 points apiece. Xavian Rimmer scored 15 - 13 in the first half - and Martrevious Sanders had 12 points, seven assists and six steals for Alcorn State. The Braves led by as many as 45 points.
Louis Munks led the Panthers with 13 points.
No. 3 seed Prairie View A&M (14-18) beat the Braves in both regular-season meetings, including 64-61 at Alcorn State on Saturday.
