For the Crusaders (1-1), guards Justin Burrell and Jordan Stevens each scored in double figures with 17 and 14 points respectively.

Holy Cross led 32-21 late in the first half when Texas-San Antonio closed within 34-30 at halftime. The Crusaders opened the second half ice cold, and Texas-San Antonio took advantage.

The Roadrunners went on a 13-1 run to lead 43-35. The margin shrank to 52-42 before Holy Cross went on an 8-2 spurt. Two Burrell foul shots at 0:55 made it 58-56. Larry Wilkins sank one of two free throws, but Burrell's 3-pointer with 0:04 left just missed.
