SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Kyle Randall scored 13 points and Central Michigan survived a five-minute scoreless stretch near the end of the game, defeating Wright State 59-55 Wednesday at the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Chippewas (2-1) used an 8-0 run midway through the second half to build a 48-38 lead, and still led by 10 with 5:23 remaining. But Wright State (3-1) scored eight straight points, pulling within 57-55 when JT Yoho hit a layup with 27 seconds left.

Derrick Richardson Jr. hit two free throws with 4 seconds remaining to break the Chippewas' scoring drought and secure the victory.

Miles Dixon scored 16 points, Matt Vest had 15 and Yoho 10 for Wright State.

Central Michigan was just 2 for 14 on 3-point attempts but outrebounded the Raiders 40-29.
