FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Bryon Allen's layup and free throw broke a tie with 0.2 seconds remaining, giving George Mason a 48-45 nonconference victory over Boston University on Saturday.

The Patriots (4-2) scored the final nine points after the Terriers (0-5) took the game's largest lead, 45-39, with 3:32 remaining.

Baskets by Marko Gujanicic and Allen made it 45-43 with 2:16 left, and Gujanicic's two free throws tied it at the 0:42 mark.

The Terriers missed their last three shots and turned the ball over twice down the stretch, with the second turnover giving the Patriots the ball for Allen's three-point play.

Johnny Williams, with 10 points, was the only player in double figures for George Mason, which shot 36.4 percent (20 of 55), including 2 of 16 on 3-pointers.

Travis Robinson scored 17 points and Dom Morris had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Boston University, which shot 28.3 percent (15 of 53).
