After falling behind 13-4, the Cougars (5-2) took control and led 29-24 at halftime.

Anthony Still hit 1 of 2 free throws and Austin Hamilton missed a Phoenix 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Ryley Beaumont's 14 points led Elon, which defeated College of Charleston 99-98 in double overtime Feb. 2.
