DAVIS, Calif. (AP) -- James Kinney scored 27 points Wednesday night to lead San Jose State to a 73-64 win over UC Davis.
Chris Cunningham had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans (4-3). D.J. Brown contributed 12 points and six assists.
Ryan Sypkens scored 18 points to lead UC Davis. Corey Hawkins had 16 points, Josh Ritchart scored 11 and J.T. Adenrele had 10 points for the Aggies (1-5), playing their first home game since Nov. 20.
Kinney scored 16 of his points in the second half. The Spartans finished with a 9-2 run, all but two of those points coming on free throws.
Neither team led by double figures in the game that featured 13 lead changes.
