MONROE, La. (AP) -- R.J. McCray scored 17 points and Marcelis Hansberry got five of his 16 in overtime as Louisiana-Monroe beat Southeastern Louisiana 68-61 in a nonconference game Monday night for its first win this season.

Neither team made a basket in overtime, with all nine points for the Warhawks (1-4) and the two points by the Lions (1-6) coming on free throws.

Two free throws by Hansberry broke a 61-61 tie with 2:29 left in overtime, and Trent Mackey hit two more to make it 65-61.

Hansberry made 1 of 2 free throws after a missed Lions shot, and he added a pair with 5 seconds left after making a steal.

Jeffery Ricard scored 24 points for Southeastern Louisiana, which led by as many as eight points in the second half but needed Roosevelt Johnson's tip-in with 1 second left to tie it 59-59 after regulation.
