RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Derrick Williams scored 21 points to help Richmond pull away in the second half and beat Stetson 76-57 on Saturday night.
Kendall Anthony had 18 points and Darien Brothers 16 for the Spiders (9-2), off to their best start since 1987-88.
Chris Perez scored 17 points and Adam Pegg 10 for the Hatters (2-7).
Richmond shot 9 of 21 on 3-pointers - Brothers made 4 of 7 - while the Hatters hit only 2 of 19.
Richmond shot 19 of 23 from the free-throw line to Stetson's 9 of 14.
Stetson scored the first four points in the second half to take its first lead of the night at 29-28.
Richmond reclaimed the advantage at 35-33 and pushed it to 43-27 with 12:02 to go on 3-pointers from Brothers and Anthony. At the 11:21 mark, Richmond led 47-38 on layups by Anthony and Brothers and cruised to the victory.
