EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -- Jesus Delgado scored a career-high 18 points to lead Texas-Pan American to a 75-70 win over Lamar on Saturday night.
Delgado was 7 of 11 from the field for the Broncos (4-7). Aaron Urbanus scored 13 points and Lauri Toivonen had a career-high 11 points. Brandon Provost led with four rebounds.
Lamar led 31-27 at halftime, but the Broncos came out in the second half and scored the first five points. Delgado made a layup at the 18:03 mark to tie the game at 35. Urbanus scored, putting the Broncos up 37-35. Lamar would get within one, but the Broncos remained in the lead.
Lamar outrebounded the Broncos, 37-27 and shot 53.6 percent from the field for the game. The Broncos shot 50.8 percent.
Donley Minor and Amos Wilson led the Cardinals with 15 points apiece. Stan Brown added 11 points and seven rebounds for Lamar (1-10).
