JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Travis Smith scored 15 points as Mercer cruised to a 66-47 win over North Florida on Thursday night in Atlantic Sun Conference action.

The Bears (10-7, 3-1), coming off an 83-75 loss to Kennesaw State, have won four of their last five.

Bud Thomas added 14 points and Anthony White, Jr., a career-high 12.

White helped limit the Ospreys' Parker Smith, who came in averaging 16.4 points per game and with the second-most made 3-pointers in the nation (66) to six points on 2-of-4 shooting from long range.

Trailing 8-6, Mercer pulled ahead with a 16-2 spurt and held North Florida (7-11, 2-3) to one field goal in an 8:37 span.

Ray Rodriguez, who finished with 11 points, hit three straight 3-pointers within 65 seconds to help the Ospreys close to 47-41 with 9:29 left, but North Florida could get no closer, shooting a season-low 34 percent (17 of 50).
