CHICAGO (AP) -- Quinton Pippen scored 19 points and Chicago State defeated Houston Baptist 81-56 on Saturday.
Clarke Rosenberg had 12 points, Matt Ross scored 11 and Corey Gray had 10 points for the Cougars (6-14, 1-1 Great West). Chicago State was 15 of 28 from 3-point range, led by Pippen who was 5 for 8. The Cougars shot 44 percent overall.
Art Bernardi led the Huskies (4-14, 0-3) with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Houston Baptist made only two 3-point shots in 15 tries.
The Huskies shot 38 percent from the field.
