VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) -- Ferg Myrick posted his third double-double of the season and Chris Matagrano his first as New Hampshire defeated Binghamton 63-45 Saturday night to snap its winless streak in America East Conference play.

The Wildcats (5-14, 1-6) scored the initial 10 points of the game and extended their lead to 16 at the 10:21 mark. After the Bearcats got within eight points, at 25-17, New Hampshire closed the half on an 8-2 run, pushing the lead into double digits for good.

Myrick finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Matagrano had 12 points and 10 boards. Chandler Rhoads added 15 points, five assists and five steals and Patrick Konan contributed 12 points for New Hampshire.

Binghamton (3-17, 1-6), coming off a 57-56 win over Maine that snapped a 12-game skid, was 0 for 12 from beyond the arc.

Jordan Reed scored 18 points and Brian Freeman 11 for the Bearcats.
