WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Joel Smith posted his 10th straight game in double figures with 17 points as Northeastern defeated Colonial Athletic Association-foe William & Mary 68-64 Monday night.

Jonathan Lee and Quincy Ford scored 12 apiece and Demetrius Pollard came off the bench to sink three treys for the Huskies (17-8, 12-1), who are off to their best CAA start in program history.

Northeastern, which defeated William & Mary 95-91 in overtime Jan. 23, scored seven of the game's first 10 points and stretched its lead to 17-7 behind a David Walker 3-pointer midway through the first half.

William & Mary (9-14, 3-9) rallied to a 62-56 advantage in the second half but the Huskies outscored the Tribe 12-2 over the final 5 minutes to seal the victory.

Northeastern dished out 17 helpers and has posted double-digit assists in 23 of 25 contests this season.

Brandon Britt led the Tribe with 18 points.
