EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -- Justin Leathers scored 16 points, leading four Texas-Pan American players in double figures, and the Broncs defeated Cal State Bakersfield 79-73 in overtime Thursday night.
Aaron Urbanus had 14 points, Jesus Delgado scored 13 and Brandon Provost added 12 points for Texas-Pan American (13-13), which is 9-1 at home this season. The Broncs trailed by nine points - their biggest deficit of the night - with less than 5 minutes to play, but scored the last nine points of regulation to tie it at 63.
Stephon Carter led the Roadrunners (10-16) with 22 points, six steals and five assists. Javante Maynor added 17 points and Brandon Barnes scored 11 for Bakersfield.
It was a nonconference game but both schools will be playing in the Western Athletic Conference next season.
