EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -- Anthony Hill and Rob Lewis scored 12 points apiece and Houston Baptist won its sixth game in a row, defeating Texas-Pan American 53-48 Saturday night.

All of Hill's points came on 3-pointers. Art Bernardi added 11 points and Dauson Womack had 11 rebounds for the Huskies (10-14, 2-3 Great West), whose winning run was preceded by an eight-game losing streak.

Houston Baptist did not have a field goal in the final 7:05, but hung on from that point with 13 free throws.

Jesus Delgado had 16 points to lead the Broncs (13-14, 3-3), who lost for only the second time at home in 11 games this season.

At halftime, Texas-Pan American honored its 1963 NAIA national champions featuring Luke Jackson, who went on to win an Olympic gold medal in 1964 on the U.S. team followed by an eight-year NBA career with Philadelphia.
