MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- Angelo Warner hit a game-winning layup with 9 seconds left as Morehead State defeated Ohio Valley Conference-foe Tennessee Tech 65-63 Saturday night.
After Chad Posthumus's jumper put Morehead State (13-14, 7-6) ahead 61-59 with 2:08 left, Tennessee Tech's Jeremiah Samarrippas hit consecutive jump shots for a 63-61 lead.
Posthumus tipped in the rebound from Devon Atkinson's missed 3-pointer on Morehead State's next possession. Tennessee Tech's Jud Dillard missed a 3-point attempt with 13 seconds left, then fouled Warner as he made his go-ahead layup. Warner missed the ensuing free throw, and after a Tennessee Tech rebound, Samarrippas missed a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to end it.
