Trey Freeman's jumper with 1:59 remaining got Campbell as close as 61-60, but a pair of Khiry White free throws capped an 8-1 run that put the Tigers on top 69-61 with 26 seconds to play.

Campbell (12-17) missed three shots and scored just two points in the final minute.

The Camels never led after intermission, shooting just 39.1 percent (9 of 23) compared to the Tigers' 47.6 percent (10 of 21), in the second half.

Savannah State outscored Campbell 34-20 in the paint, and edged them in bench points 43-35.

Reco McCarter led the Camels with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
