BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Jamaal Levy totaled 19 points and seven rebounds as 18th-ranked Wake Forest shook off a week of rust with an easy 86-61 win over Yale.
Wake Forest (3-0) had not played since a 97-55 rout of Elon in its home opener last Saturday.
Justin Gray added 15 points, Eric Williams 12 and Vytas Danelius 10 for the Demon Deacons, who forced 20 turnovers and shot nearly 50 percent (21-of-43) from the field.
Danelius missed Wake Forest's last game with a left ankle sprain, but played 25 minutes.
Dominick Martin had 15 points for Yale (3-2), which trailed 41-27 at halftime and never seriously challenged in the second half.
Yale had won its previous three games since opening the season with a loss at top-ranked Connecticut.
Casey Hughes drained a 3-pointer to pull the Bulldogs within 27-20 with 5:18 left in the first half. But Wake Forest closed the half with a 14-7 spurt, capped by Gray's 3-pointer at the buzzer, to go into intermission with a 14-point lead.
The Demon Deacons scored the first six points of the second half to build a 20-point advantage. They had little trouble improving to 4-1 all-time against Yale.
