CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Texas Christian might want to make it another 37 years between visits to Cincinnati.
Tony Bobbitt scored 16 points to lead another balanced attack as the seventh-ranked Bearcats remained unbeaten with an 85-57 Conference USA victory over TCU.
The Horned Frogs had not been here since December 22, 1966, an 89-88 overtime loss in the Armory Fieldhouse. The Bearcats (13-0, 4-0 C-USA) now play in Fifth Third Arena and improved to 200-26 in the facility since moving into it in 1989.
"Our problem tonight is the same that everyone is going to have against Cincinnati," TCU coach Neil Dougherty said. "Once we get into the bench as far as they go into their bench, we started to fall apart."
This season, Cincinnati has been even more impressive at home, going 9-0 and winning by an average of 27.6 points and by no less than 20.
"The scary thing is we still haven't put it all together and done our thing," Cincinnati coach Bob Huggins said.
The Bearcats, one of just four remaining unbeatens in Division I, visit league foe Louisville (13-1) on Wednesday.
"We are looking for a challenge," Bobbitt said.
James White and Jason Maxiell scored 15 points each for the Bearcats, who eclipsed 80 points for the ninth time this season. They did so just six times last season.
"Huggs expects us to win all of our games by 40," White said. "Every game we have expectations, but tonight we didn't meet them."
Field Williams added 14 points as Cincinnati placed four players in double figures for the seventh straight game.
Nucleus Smith and Marcus Shropshire scored 11 points each for the Horned Frogs (6-9, 2-2), who were undone by sloppy play. They committed 14 turnovers against just 10 baskets in the first half, when they fell into a 44-31 hole and never recovered.
Bobbitt had a pair of 3-pointers in a 24-8 burst that opened the second half. He hit another 3-pointer to give Cincinnati its largest lead at 81-44 with 7:50 left.
TCU finished with 23 turnovers and fell to 0-4 all-time against Cincinnati.
