(6) Oklahoma St 86, Tx A&M Corp Chr 61

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Ticker) -- John Lucas Jr. and Joey Graham teamed to help No. 6 Oklahoma State rebound from its first loss of the season.

Lucas scored 21 points and Graham added 20 as Oklahoma State posted an 86-61 triumph over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

In their previous game, Oklahoma State lost, 78-75, to Gonzaga. In this one, the Islanders stayed close for a half before the Cowboys asserted themselves.

Leading 31-28 at the break, Oklahoma State (10-1) opened the second half with a 13-0 run and never were headed. Graham keyed the spurt with eight points while Lucas carried the Cowboys in the opening 20 minutes, scoring 16.

The Cowboys outscored the Islanders 55-33 in the second half as they shot 71 percent (22-of-31) from the field.

The Islanders (9-4) got 21 points off the bench from Thomas Bailey and 13 from Travis Bailey, but it was not enough to overcome the Cowboys' hot shooting.

Led by Graham who made 8-of-10 attempts, Oklahoma State shot 65 percent from the field (34-for-52) while Texas A&M-Corpus Christi shot 40 percent (23-of-57), including 4-of-17 from the arc.

Daniel Bobik scored 12 points and Ivan McFarlin added 11 for the Cowboys.
