DALLAS (Ticker) -- Nina Norman scored 20 points and Jamie Carey and Tiffany Jackson added 13 apiece as third-seeded Texas cruised to a 64-47 victory over 14th seed Oral Roberts in a first-round game in the Chattanooga Region.
Texas (22-8) will play sixth-seeded Georgia in the second round Monday.
Texas led, 20-14, with six minutes remaining in the first half before Norman and Jackson scored five points apiece to help build a 34-18 lead at the break.
A 3-pointer by Norman with 16:28 left pushed the advantage to 40-22.
Texas shot 50 percent (23-of-46) from the field, including 7-of-17 from the arc, while Oral Roberts shot 43 percent (19-of-44).
Elisha Turek, the MVP of the Mid-Continent Conference championship game, had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles (22-9).
