Carter maintains overall lead in NBA All-Star voting

NEW YORK (AP) -- Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors and Shaquille O'Neal of the Los Angeles Lakers held their leads in NBA All-Star balloting Tuesday.

Carter tops all players with 920,020 votes. Boston's Antoine Walker (301,153) overtook Orlando's Grant Hill for second place among Eastern Conference forwards. Hill is out for the season with an ankle injury.

Philadelphia's Dikembe Mutombo leads all Eastern Conference centers with 387,719 votes followed by Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal (245,860).

Washington's Michael Jordan (579,698) and Philadelphia's Allen Iverson (549,727) are the leaders among Eastern Conference guards.

O'Neal tops all Western Conference players with 787,881 votes, with Sacramento's Vlade Divac (158,808) second among Western centers.

The leaders at forward for the Western Conference are Minnesota's Kevin Garnett (560,786) and San Antonio's Tim Duncan (439,183). Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers (703,108) and Steve Francis of Houston (274,027) are the Western Conference leaders at guard.

The All-Star game is Feb. 10 in Philadelphia.
