Lakers show support for Angels

ANAHEIM (AP) -- Kobe Bryant, who knows a thing or two about winning championships, wore the standard Angels' fan garb -- a red shirt, a rally monkey draped around his neck -- as he sat in the crowd Sunday.

Since coach Phil Jackson gave the three-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers the day off from practice, a group of them decided to watch another "Finals."

Rick Fox, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Samaki Walker and Tracy Murray also were among the fans.

"How many times do you get to go to the World Series?" Horry said. "I like baseball. I played baseball in high school. I was a pitcher and outfielder. I just want to see the Angels and Giants play. You know, this is the World Series."
