CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Chicago Bulls rookie guard Roger Mason Jr., who has yet to play this season following surgery to repair a dislocated right shoulder, was activated from the injured list Friday.

In a related move, the Bulls placed guard Rick Brunson on the IL with right knee tendinitis.

Mason was a second-round pick in the 2002 draft following a three-year career at Virginia. In his final season with the Cavaliers, he averaged a team-high 18.6 points and shot 88.1 percent from the free throw line.

Brunson has appeared in 10 games this season, averaging 4.6 points and 2.6 assists. Right knee tendinitis forced him to miss the first 40 games of the season.

The Bulls (19-36) visit Orlando on Friday night.
