CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Dajuan Wagner on Friday underwent season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Wagner, who missed the first 14 games of the season after having surgery to remove a blood clot following a bladder infection, had not played since March 7 at New Orleans after tearing cartilage in his knee. Wagner said he sustained the injury sometime before the All-Star break.

"A partial lateral meniscectomy was performed and everything went well," said team physician Dr. Richard Parker, who performed the surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Wagner, 20, will spend the rest of the season rehabilitating the knee. The sixth pick overall in the 2002 draft, Wagner was averaging 13.4 points - the third-best mark on the team and the third-highest among league rookies - but connecting on just under 32 percent of his shots.
