CLEVELAND (AP) -- Adrienne Goodson had 20 points and five rebounds as the Utah Starzz beat the Cleveland Rockers 76-70 in the WNBA on Saturday night.

Cleveland's Merlakia Jones scored a franchise-high 27 points, hitting 3-of-5 3-pointers.

Utah shot nearly 60 percent from the floor in the first half (16-of-27) and went on runs of 13-0 and 7-0 to lead 40-27 at the break. The Rockers connected on just 35 percent (10-of-28) and were outrebounded 20-6 in the first half.

Utah extended its lead to 53-31 on a reverse layup by Goodson with 11:26 left in the game.

The Rockers began chipping away at the lead, holding the Starzz without a field goal over the final 7:34.

Jones scored 23 of the Rockers' 43 second-half points, including 11 of the final 13 with a burst of three 3-pointers and a steal-and-layup that cut the gap to 72-70 with 19 seconds left.

Wendy Palmer's two free throws made the score 74-70 with 12 seconds left and two more from Margo Dydek closed it out with six seconds left.

Dydek had 15 points and seven rebounds, Natalie Williams added 14 points and LaTonya Johnson 10.

Alisa Burras scored 17 points and Eva Nemcova had 16 for the Rockers.
