NEW YORK (AP) -- Sheryl Swoopes of the Houston Comets finished as the leading vote-getter in balloting for the WNBA all-star game. Swoopes received 171,576 votes for the game, to be played in Phoenix July 17. More than 2.4 million votes were cast in internet balloting and in arenas, almost double the 1.25 cast a year ago. Swoopes will be joined on the Western Conference starting lineup by teammates Cynthia Cooper and Tina Thompson along with Lisa Leslie of Los Angeles and Tina Penicheiro of Sacramento.
