MILAN, Italy (AP) -- Tickets for next month's Mike Tyson fight in Milan are going, going, but not gone.

Organizers said Tuesday that fewer than 3,000 of the 11,000 tickets still remain for Tyson's May 20 bout against fellow American Lou Savarese.

Tickets, which range from 3.3 million lire ($1,639) for ringside, to 110,000 lire ($55) for an upper section seat, officially went on sale Monday, but 3,000 had already been sold last week to an English ticket agent.

Fight promoter Salvatore Cherchi said Milan's Filaforum arena would have already sold out, but that organizers slowed the pace of sales to allow for fans from all over Italy to have a crack at tickets.

Some 21,000 tickets were sold out in two days for Tyson's last fight in January, when he knocked out Julius Francis in the second round in Manchester, England.

Savarese (39-3) is expected to be a tougher opponent than Francis. Tyson enters the Milan fight with a record of 47 wins (41 KOs), 3 losses and one no-contest.

The Filaforum has hosted events including the world ice hockey championships and a Davis Cup final. The undercard will include Zab Judah's first defense of his IBF junior welterweight title.
