ATLANTA (AP) -- The NCAA has certified guard Solomon Poole, who signed with Georgia Tech in November, eligible to begin playing this season.

Solomon Poole is the younger brother of Stacey Poole Jr., a transfer from Kentucky who also becomes eligible next week for Georgia Tech.

Solomon Poole, a 6-foot guard from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Fla., signed with Georgia Tech in November and was admitted to the school last week. He is eligible to play as early as Monday following Friday's ruling.

The Poole brothers' father, Stacey Poole, played at Florida.

They become the first brothers to play on the same Georgia Tech team since Jon and Drew Barry in 1991-92
