BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) -- One of the most amazing finishes to a cricket match ended in a tie between Australia and South Africa at Edgbaston, a result that put the Australians into the World Cup final against Pakistan on Sunday:

Here are how the last two overs were played out with South Africa, at 196 for seven, needing 18 to win off 12 balls.

  • Mark Boucher fails to score run off Glenn McGrath -- 18 needed off 11
  • McGrath bowls Boucher; 196-8 -- 18 off 10
  • Steve Elworthy single -- 17 off 9
  • Elworthy run out going for second run: 198-9 -- 16 off 8
  • Paul Reiffel fails to catch Lance Klusener's big hit and accidentally pushes it over boundary for six -- 10 off 7
  • Klusener single to keep strike -- 9 off 6
  • Klusener hits Damien Fleming for four -- 5 off 5
  • Klusener hits another four -- 1 off 4
  • Klusener changes mind about single, Allan Donald almost run out by Darren Lehman throw which just misses stumps -- 1 off 3
  • Klusener goes for single, Donald turns and stays at other end, drops bat and eventually runs but beaten by the throw
  • Match tied. Both teams scored 213 all out.
