India won by 91 runs to qualify for Sunday's final against Australia in Johannesburg.- - - - • Virender Sehwag hit five off Martin Suji's first over. Medium pacer Thomas Odoyo's first delivery of the match, a no-ball, was driven for four through the covers by Sehwag. • Sachin Tendulkar faced his first delivery at the start of the third over and clipped the ball for two through midwicket as Kenya's bowlers continued to stray down the leg side. • Tendulkar pulled Suji, the ball bouncing a metre inside the mid-wicket rope. Reaching 14, he also got to 600 runs in the tournament, a record and more than 200 runs in excess of any other batsman. 43-0, 10 overs. • Tendulkar brought up the 50 from the first ball of the 12th over with a hook off Peter Ongondo which landed just inside the ropes. 56-0, 15 overs. • Aasif Karim, who took three for seven against Australia, came on and was immediately pulled for four by Tendulkar. After Tendulkar had off driven Ongondo for three, Sehwag tried to loft the ball over the bowler's head and was caught by Maurice Odumbe at cover with his back to the pitch. Tendulkar drove the last ball of the over beautifully through the covers for four. 85-1, 20 overs. • Tendulkar reached his half-century with a paddled sweep for four off Karim. His sixth 50 of the tournament had taken 64 balls with five fours. 99-1, 25 overs. • Ganguly struck the first six off the match, a low skimming off drive off his opposite number Steve Tikolo. He hit another huge six off leg spinner Collins Obuya over midwicket and took a third in the same over to the same place. 127-1, 30 overs. • Tendulkar emulated Ganguly with a six off Tikolo over mid off. He brought up the 150 from 32.4 overs with a sweep for two off Obuya. 158-1, 35 overs. • Ganguly brought up his half-century from 80 balls with a four and three sixes. Tendulkar was caught on the boundary by David Obuya from a pull shot off Tikolo. 188-2, 40 overs. • Ganguly moved down the pitch and struck Odoyo for his fourth six over midwicket to bring up the 200 from 41.3 overs. 221-2, 45 overs. • Ganguly hit yet another six off Tikolo followed by a four and a two. It was his 13th six of the tournament, one more than Canadian John Davison. Mohammad Kaif was run out for 15 with a direct hit on the stumps by Collins Obuya. 240-3, 47 overs. • Ganguly brought up his third century of the tournament with another six off Suji in the penultimate over from 109 balls with four fours and five sixes. Yuvraj Singh also struck Suji for six in an over costing 18 runs. • Singh was caught by David Obuya for 16 off Odoyo in the last over of the innings. 270-4, 50 overs. - - - - • Kennedy Otieno, struck on the left elbow by Brett Lee in the Super Six match against Australia, was hit on the helmet in Javagal Srinath's second over. 12-0, five overs. • Two loud shouts for lbw from Zaheer Khan against Shah in the seventh over were rejected by umpire Daryl Harper. Khan had more luck in the next over when Ravindu Shah (1) was hit full on the pads in front of his stumps and Harper upheld another noisy appeal. 20-1, 10 overs. • Ashish Nehra took over from fellow left-armer Khan and was immediately successful. Ongondo mishooked his first ball to Khan at mid on and was out without scoring. Otieno was caught behind by Rahul Dravid for 15 with the score on 30 and Odoyo was then caught by Sehwag off Nehra for 7. 36-4, 15 overs. • Odumbe hit occasional left-arm spinner Yuvraj for six over extra cover but was caught by Khan for 20 off the next ball trying to repeat the stroke. 67-5, 20 overs.. • The Indians hurried through their overs as lightning flashed across the sky. 82-5, 25 overs. • Ganguly recalled Khan who picked up another wicket when Hitesh Modi (9) edged a catch behind. 95-6, 30 overs. • David Obuya was run out for three, diving for the crease at the bowler's end to try and beat Kaif's throw but failing to ground his bat. 108-7, 35 overs.. • Collins Obuya hoisted Sehwag's off spin for six as Ganguly rested his main bowlers. 131-7. 40 overs. • Tikolo indulged in some late hitting against the part-timers, bringing up his 50 from 74 balls off a Singh over costing 15, including two sixes and a four. He was finally bowled for 56 by Tendulkar, dragging the ball on to his off stump. 171-8, 45 overs. • Tendulkar captured a second wicket when Collins Obuya was
lbw for 29 and Khan finished the innings when he bowled Suji for
29. Khan's final figures were 9.2-2-14-3. 179-10, 46.2 overs.
