SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Australian captain Mark Taylor broke his predecessor Allan Border's world record for catches in test cricket by a non-wicketkeeper when he claimed his 157th Tuesday.
Taylor caught Mark Ramprakash of England low at first slip from Glenn McGrath's bowling in the first session of a tense fourth day of the fifth test in Sydney.
Taylor reached the milestone in his 104th test. Border had 156 catches from 156 games.
