GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) -- The three-day cricket match between Guyana and the touring India "A" team ended in a draw Saturday in western Guyana.

The scores were Guyana 222 in their first innings, India 324 for nine declared in its first innings and Guyana 193-1 in its second innings when the match ended.

Guyana's opening batsman Azeemul Haniff, the first innings top scorer with 62, completed a fine match with a century in the second innings. He blasted an undefeated 102, reaching the 100-mark by smashing a boundary off the last ball of the match despite the Indian team manning every boundary.

Haniff's century, the first by Guyana, came in 119 balls in 162 minutes and was decorated with 13 fours and one six.

Guyanese batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan regained his form by scoring a rapid half-cntury to flay the Indian bowling attack. Sarwan finished unbeaten on 56, made in 105 minutes off 60 balls. His innings included seven boundaries and one six.

Earlier, India resumed at its overnight score of 197 for the loss of four wickets and had reached 270 for the loss of three more wickets by lunch Saturday.

Opener Arun Kumar became the first Indian on their one-month tour of the West Indies to score a century by smashing a six off leg-spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo to move from his unbeaten overnight score of 94 to three figures. But, Nagamootoo had the final say by dismissing the Indian opener for 110. Kumar's innings came off 273 balls in 356 minutes with 14 boundaries and a six.

India "A" will play West Indies "A" in their second four-day "Test" in Guyana Tuesday and oppose Guyana in a one-day international match on Dec. 5. India will play the West Indies A in another one-day international match on Dec. 8.

India's and West Indies' rain-affected first Test in Trinidad and Tobago last week was a draw.
