Stage 2 description:
| Futuroscope | | Loudun |
(Societe du Tour de France) |
(Societe du Tour de France) |
Since its opening, the Futuroscope has been privileged to host the Tour on six occasions: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1994 and 1999. Tour Y2K could not have set off from a more fitting symbol of the dawning century.
Loudun's Old City center, bound within twin belts of ramparts, holds numerous architectural treasures. Modern Loudun has earned a reputation for its flowered gardens.
Sports and recreational activities are much practiced in Loudun, where new facilities are always being added.
