Stage 21: Sunday, July 23
The final stage: an 86-mile course through Paris from the Eiffel Tower to the Champs-Elysses

Stage Winner
Stefano Zanini
Italy
3:12:36
Mapei

Champion
Lance Armstrong
United States
92:33:08
U.S. Postal

Summary:
Vindication: While 1999 was the Year of the Comeback, 2000 is the Year of Vindication for Lance Armstrong -- proof that the 28-year-old American is the world's greatest cyclist. As Marco Pantani and Alex Zulle dropped out mid-race, second-placed Jan Ullrich lagged behind and it was Armstrong who came out on top for a second straight year. He finished the race in a time of 92 hours, 33 minutes, eight seconds -- more than six minutes ahead of Ullrich.
